Courage or Comfort Zone?

Courage is, “the ability to do something that frightens one” or “strength in the face of pain or grief.” Courage comes when we CHOOSE to do things afraid, when we push past our comfort zone and face what feels difficult or unknown. Comfort certainly appears easier than courage, but nothing great comes out of comfort. May we choose to live in faith, which produces the courage to go where God is leading us.

Discussion Questions

  1. Where have you become too comfortable?
  2. When was the last time courage was required of you? If you can’t remember – it’s time to ask God to grow your faith.
  3. The Bible is full of ordinary people – who were willing to do extraordinary things! They didn’t shrink back. So the question is, “What are you willing to do?”
