Whether it be a pandemic, personal struggles, relational difficulties, or financial struggles, contentment is available to us. We can learn from the Apostle Paul in Philippians 4 as he found contentment in less than ideal circumstances. Paul gave thanks in ALL circumstances. Thankfulness and contentment walk hand in hand. Contentment is a matter of FOCUS. Yes, contentment does take courage as we are surrendering and trusting God!
- What are we concentrating on, what we see (circumstances) or the unseen?
“So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.” 2 Corinthians 4:18 NLT
- What “IF” have you been basing your contentment on?
- What are you thankful for? Take a moment to share what you are thankful for, even in your particular situation that seems difficult.
